Jamestown Parish Church is 140 years old and, as is the case with so many old buildings, the spire is in need of some repair.  As a result, there has been scaffolding around the spire for some 18 months.   The total cost for repair is in the region of £55,000. 

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £12,100 development funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund with the possibility of a further tranche of some £23,000.

In the meantime, we are raising as much money as we can to fill the gap.  We have had a number of fund raising events over the past year and have been buoyed up by the generosity of the congregation, together with others who think fondly of Jamestown Church.  We are hopeful that work will start in the not too distant future!
